Lightroom Shortcuts
If you plan to use any piece of software on a regular basis, learning the keyboard shortcuts for common tasks gives the biggest bang for the buck in terms of increasing productivity. And whenever I introduce new users to Lightroom, it’s hard to escape the feeling that you’d be utterly lost in the app without learning at least a handful of shortcuts. Switching between modules, selecting targeted adjustment tools, triggering Before and After views, zooming, and countless other tasks would simply be unbearable if you relied on mousing and clicking.
In that spirit, here are links to Lightroom 2 keyboard shortcuts from individuals who deserve a hearty round of applause for making their efforts freely available to both Mac and PC users.
Victoria Bampton, aka the Lightroom Queen has made her list available here.
Ian Lyons, of Computer Darkroom fame has a pdf for Macs available here. PC users should click here.
Last, but not least, the official list from Adobe has been made available as a standalone pdf by Adobe Sr. Engineer, Rick Miller.
After you download any one of these, commit to learning just one shortcut a day. In no time you’ll be working faster and smarter.
